Halle Berry says a photo her son took does not prove she abused him
In new court papers Halle Berry says a picture Maceo took of her shows no assault and she accuses Olivier Martinez of twisting evidence in their custody fight.

Halle Berry is answering Olivier Martinez in writing again. New court papers say a photo their 13-year-old son Maceo took of her does not show that she hurt him.
What Berry says the picture shows
Martinez has argued that Maceo snapped the photo to document "something happened" during a clash last month. Berry says the frame shows her standing calmly with her hands in her pockets several feet from the boy.
She also says there is no picture of bruises, redness or other injuries on Maceo that would back up Martinez's claim that the boy told him she strangled him. Berry has denied abusing him and has described the moment as playful roughhousing that went wrong after an argument over a virtual reality game.
Van Hunt and school behavior
Berry is also defending musician Van Hunt, her boyfriend. In an earlier declaration he said he did not notice marks on Maceo. Berry says Martinez is twisting that into a claim that Hunt inspected the boy for injuries when Hunt only said he saw none.
Berry also accuses Martinez of selective quoting in the filings. On her account the boy's school discipline has gotten heavier since the restraining order, with detention stretching across an entire week.
Court date
Martinez is asking the court to hear from Maceo in person about what he says happened. Berry does not want the teenager on the witness stand. They are scheduled to appear again Friday. Nobody has been convicted of a crime in the dispute.
