Joy Behar returns to 'The View' after a fall: the pain was 'worse than childbirth'
Behar, 84, was back at the table after nearly a month away. She said she fell hard in the building and dislocated her shoulder.

Joy Behar is back on The View. The 84-year-old comedian returned to the Hot Topics table Tuesday after weeks away and finally explained what happened.
Behar said she "went down hard" in the ABC building and dislocated her shoulder. She told her co-hosts the pain was "worse than childbirth."
The studio audience gave her a standing ovation as Elton John's "The Bitch Is Back" played. "You should've played 'God Save the Queen,'" she joked. She took her seat next to Sara Haines.
Weeks on the sidelines
Behar was last on the air Sept. 30. She missed the Oct. 7 episode that celebrated her 84th birthday.
In an earlier statement about her recovery, Behar joked that "since I'm an old bat, recuperating takes a bit longer."
A View original
Behar joined The View when it launched in 1997. She left in 2013 and came back in 2015. She has been part of 28 of the show's 30 seasons, making her the longest-running female talk show host.
