Jannik Sinner will replace Darren Cahill with Magnus Norman on his coaching team
Jannik Sinner confirmed Darren Cahill is leaving and Magnus Norman will join Simone Vagnozzi on his staff starting next month.

One of tennis's most successful recent partnerships is coming to a close.
Jannik Sinner confirmed Friday that Darren Cahill will leave his team after a run that produced five Grand Slam titles and a stretch at world No. 1. Magnus Norman will join the staff next month alongside Simone Vagnozzi.
Sinner is sidelined by a right knee injury and has already ended his 2026 season. Alexander Zverev took over the No. 1 ranking this week.
What Sinner said
"Darren has been an incredibly important part of my journey," Sinner said in a statement. "Together with Simone and the whole team we have achieved things I dreamed of growing up. Winning five Grand Slam titles and reaching world No. 1 together are achievements I will always treasure but what means just as much is the relationship we have built along the way."
Cahill joined in June 2022 and had originally planned to step away after the 2025 season. He thanked Sinner for "welcoming this Aussie into the wonderful Italian family" and called the Italian "a humble dedicated champion."
Norman's track record
Norman a Swede who reached No. 2 as a player formerly coached three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka. He is expected to begin work with Sinner in early December ahead of the 2027 season.
Sinner has not played since beating Zverev in the Wimbledon final in July. He withdrew from the U.S. Open because of the knee injury and announced last month that his year was over.
