Released 911 audio captures Zach Hickerson trying to revive Hayden Panettiere
Newly released 911 audio from August 16 shows a dispatcher coaching Zach Hickerson through CPR after Hayden Panettiere was found unresponsive in South Carolina.

A recording of the emergency call made the day Hayden Panettiere died shows a dispatcher walking Zach Hickerson through CPR as he tried to save her.
What the call reveals
The audio is from August 16, the day of Panettiere's overdose at an Airbnb in Greenville, South Carolina. Zach and his brother Brian had found the actress unresponsive.
On the line Zach explains that he had just come back from church and found her not breathing. He says Brian had been asleep and woke up while Panettiere never moved.
The dispatcher first asks whether a defibrillator is nearby. She then tells him to switch the phone to speaker so he can begin CPR and coaches him one step at a time. He breathes into Panettiere's mouth and does chest compressions.
Help arrives
Paramedics get there quickly and take over. Panettiere could not be revived and was declared dead at the scene.
Zach has said he gave her a dose of Narcan. The call itself does not mention it.
Her death was later ruled an accidental drug overdose. The DEA is investigating.
