Groomsmen try a wedding trend and launch the groom straight onto his bride
A Brazilian couple tried the viral trend where groomsmen toss the groom into the air. On the second take he flew forward instead. Millions have watched.

The plan was simple. The groomsmen toss the groom high into the air while the bride and bridesmaids crouch down in front and smile for the camera. The groomsmen had other ideas about which direction was up.
Take one went fine
Othon Adrian Rodrigues and Sabrina de Oliveira Souza Rodrigues got married last Saturday night in Guarujá, a beach town on the coast of São Paulo state in Brazil. Right after the ceremony and before the party started the wedding party stepped outside to film a popular social media trend.
The first attempt actually worked. But a few people were not looking at the camera so the group decided to do it again.
Take two went sideways
On the second try the groomsmen threw the groom forward instead of up. With nobody in front to catch him he sailed right over the crouching bridesmaids and came down on top of his bride.
"They threw him forward and not up," the bride explained afterward. There was simply no way to hold on to him.
A soft landing thanks to the hair
For a second it looked scary. One of his feet glanced off her shoulder and the groom joked that her elaborate wedding hairdo helped cushion the blow. His brother grabbed him from behind just in time to keep him from hitting the ground headfirst.
Nobody was hurt. After the panic passed everyone started laughing and the couple went inside to dance for six more hours.
Too good to delete
The newlyweds asked their video team to keep the blooper. A few days later they posted it so friends and family who missed it could see. They did not expect much. The clip has now passed 2.5 million views.
The two met in school and have been together for four years. They both tied the knot at 21. The groom calls their story school to the altar. Now it comes with one unforgettable outtake.
