Graham Rahal and Courtney Force hunt for two malamutes taken near their home
IndyCar racer Graham Rahal says a broken gate freed Arrow and Beau and that a tracker showed a vehicle carried the dogs away before the device was dumped.

Graham Rahal and Courtney Force are pleading for help finding their two malamutes after the pair vanished from the couple's Southern California property.
The escape
Rahal says a malfunctioning gate Tuesday night let Arrow and Beau, both eight-year-old males, leave their Yorba Linda yard.
Signs someone took them
Tracking data on one dog showed a pickup about 200 yards from the house followed by travel through Tustin and into Brea where the gadget later turned up in roadside brush without the collar, Rahal says.
Stops along that route make the family think the animals were deliberately removed rather than simply found and released.
The search
County deputies visited the property Tuesday night so the family could file a report. Rahal has been walking the tracker pin drops looking for cameras that might have caught the vehicle.
Force shared pictures of Arrow and Beau on Instagram Wednesday and asked followers to watch for them. Health issues kept a tracker off one dog. Both carry microchips so a shelter intake should notify the owners.
Rahal and Force wed in 2015 and raise three daughters. The malamutes are central to daily life at home. Rahal has spent close to twenty years on the IndyCar circuit.
