Goo Goo Dolls will play halftime as Buffalo hosts its first Thanksgiving game
The Goo Goo Dolls will perform at halftime when the Bills host the Chiefs on Thanksgiving night, the first holiday game ever played in Buffalo.

The Goo Goo Dolls are coming home for the holiday. The band will take the stage at halftime when the Buffalo Bills face the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving night.
A first for Buffalo
The Bills shared the news on Friday. The prime time game at Highmark Stadium airs on NBC. It marks the first time the team has ever hosted a game on Thanksgiving.
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce will be on the other sideline.
A hometown pick
It is hard to imagine a better fit. The group got its start in Buffalo. Founding members John Rzeznik and Robby Takac both grew up there.
The band is also marking 40 years together this year. Its music has found a fresh wave of fans lately. The Bills are clearly among them. The team set a tribute video to "Iris" after the last game at its old stadium last season.
Not their first holiday show
This is not new ground for the band. The group already played a Turkey Day halftime set in Detroit in 2007.
The Buffalo game wraps up a full day of football. Miranda Lambert is set to perform at the Eagles and Cowboys game earlier that Thursday. The night before, U2 will play at halftime of the Packers and Rams game.
