Chrishell Stause did not see her breakup coming.

G Flip was the one who called time on their four-year relationship, according to reports. The Australian singer told the former "Selling Sunset" star that the love between them now felt more like friendship than romance.

A hard talk in Los Angeles

People close to the pair say there was no drama behind the split. G simply stopped feeling romantic love for Chrishell. G flew from Australia to Los Angeles so the two could have that painful conversation face to face.

Chrishell is said to be crushed. Both of them still look back on the relationship as a good one, sources say.

Insiders also pushed back on talk that Chrishell's temper played a part. Some people tied to her old castmates have claimed she can be "mean" and hard to deal with. Those close to the couple say that had nothing to do with it.

The tearful announcement

Chrishell shared the news Monday in an emotional Instagram video. She said she is still in love with G and does not expect that to change. She admitted she feels "a little bit like a failure" and said, "this sucks."

G answered with a statement of their own. "I will always love her, we will always share a special connection and I cherish our memories together deeply," the singer wrote. G also said their head and heart felt "very heavy" and asked fans for privacy.

Just days before, Chrishell had visited G in Australia. In an interview after that trip she kept things vague and said she was "recalibrating."

No divorce needed

The couple went public in May 2022 at the Season 5 reunion of the Netflix show. A Las Vegas wedding followed in May 2023. More celebrations came after that. None of those made the marriage legal, so there will be no divorce case.

Old friends and old rivals weigh in

Chrishell's ex Jason Oppenheim reached out under her video. "It certainly doesn't mean anyone failed," he wrote. He told her she is loved and that he is always there for her. The two dated for about seven months in 2021.

Bre Tiesi was less sympathetic. "She had a lot to say about my relationship," Tiesi said in a TV interview. She guessed Chrishell "might come back to our team" and date a man next. She also hopes Chrishell does not get back together with Oppenheim.

Sources tied to the cast say they were not shocked by the split. They describe G as kind and genuine. They add that Chrishell has lost touch with nearly all of them since leaving the show.
