Burger King responds after a drive-thru worker in blackface goes viral on Halloween
Burger King says it is taking a viral Halloween video of a drive-thru worker in blackface very seriously and that the franchisee is handling it.

Burger King is facing a wave of anger online after a worker wore blackface while handling the drive-thru window on Halloween. Now the chain has weighed in.
A clip that spread quickly across social media shows the employee, a white woman, with dark makeup covering her face. She does not appear to see anything wrong with it.
When a customer confronts her she sticks up for the costume. She argues blackface is fine "as long as you have a good heart."
The company speaks
In a statement the fast food giant said, "We are aware of the video and take the matter very seriously."
The company added that the owner who runs that franchise is dealing with it directly. Burger King said he is working with the staff at the location, the manager there and the employee herself so they all understand why this is not acceptable and that it will not happen again.
Questions remain
The chain has not said where the restaurant is. It is also not known whether the worker was disciplined.
