Milwaukee is one win away from the World Series. Los Angeles is one loss away from a long winter.

The Brewers lead the National League Championship Series 3-0 after a 6-2 win in Game 3 on Wednesday. Game 4 is Thursday night at Dodger Stadium with first pitch moved up to 7 p.m. Central after rain in Cleveland reshuffled the playoff schedule.

A rookie gets the ball for Milwaukee

The Brewers plan to start rookie left-hander Shane Drohan with former Dodger Dustin May expected to follow in relief. Drohan, 27, has not pitched since Sept. 27 and will be making his postseason debut.

He made 33 appearances during the regular season including 19 starts. He finished with a 4.19 ERA and 125 strikeouts in 124 2/3 innings. His fastball and sinker both average about 95 mph.

Glasnow carries the Dodgers' season

Los Angeles has two multiple-time Cy Young winners in Blake Snell and Tarik Skubal plus reigning World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto. None of them will start Thursday. Manager Dave Roberts is giving the ball to Tyler Glasnow.

Glasnow spent most of the season on the injured list with lower back spasms. He returned for six starts down the stretch and struck out 49 in 34 1/3 innings. He then held Atlanta to one hit over 4 2/3 innings in the deciding game of the division series.

"He's fresh," Roberts said. "I think he's going to pitch well."

Glasnow, 33, is 2-6 with a 4.27 ERA in 17 career postseason games. He has not won a playoff game since 2020.

The bats have gone quiet

The Dodgers have scored seven runs on 15 hits and struck out 25 times through three games. Milwaukee tagged Snell for three home runs in the Game 3 win.

"It's win or go home," Skubal said. "Our backs are against the wall." Utility man Kiké Hernández put it more simply. "We just got to hit," he said.

Only one team has rallied from 3-0 down to win a best-of-seven League Championship Series. That was the 2004 Boston Red Sox. Roberts was on that team.
