Brandi Glanville mourns the loss of her father Guy at 77

Brandi Glanville is grieving her dad. The reality star shared on Saturday that her father Guy Glanville has died at the age of 77.

A short and painful post

The former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member broke the news on X. She wrote that her dad had died and that she was gutted by the loss.

She did not say what caused his death. The news comes several months after a health scare that she shared with her followers.

A hospital stay in May

Back in May Brandi asked fans to keep her father in their prayers. At the time she said he had spent 13 days in the hospital after a medical issue that landed him in a cardiac unit.

Ups and downs over the years

Father and daughter did not always see eye to eye. They opened up about their rocky bond in 2018 when they appeared together on "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition."

Brandi later said the two had a falling out once the show aired even though they wrapped filming on good terms. Over time things got better between them.

Guy went on to stand up for his daughter during her public feud with Denise Richards. In an Instagram video he admitted Brandi could be difficult at times but insisted she was not a liar.

Brandi has also dealt with health problems of her own in recent years. Friends from the "Real Housewives" world quickly reached out after her post. Sonja Morgan was one of them and sent her love and strength.
