Driver shot at by the Bend school gunman shows the damage to his truck

The man who first alerted police to Thursday's deadly school shooting in Bend, Oregon, has shared video of what the gunman did to his truck.

The damage

The driver, who has not been named, points out bullet holes near the back wheel well. Another round tore through the camper shell. Gunfire knocked out two of the windows completely.

One shot went through the windshield. The stunned driver notes it passed just above the spot where his head was while he was at the wheel.

The first call

He was the first person to report the attack. He told officers that someone with a long gun was firing at him over and over.

He was not the one who stopped the gunman, though. Another bystander was the one who went into the building after the gunman and shot him dead.

The 16-year-old shooter has not been publicly identified. Reports say the weapon was a pump-action shotgun that his mother had purchased.

A teacher and three students ages 11, 8 and 5 were killed.
