Atlético Madrid pile more misery on 10-man Manchester United with a 2-0 Champions League win
Pablo Barrios scored after 53 seconds and Ademola Lookman added a late goal as Atlético Madrid beat 10-man Manchester United 2-0 in Madrid.

Manchester United's rough season got even rougher on Tuesday night in Madrid.
Atlético Madrid beat United 2-0 in the Champions League. Pablo Barrios scored 53 seconds in and Ademola Lookman added a late second goal after United went down to 10 men.
An emotional opener
Lee Kang-in sent Álex Baena into open space down the left. Baena cut the ball back and Barrios hit it first time. The shot deflected off defender Ayden Heaven and went in.
Barrios ran off holding up six fingers for club captain Koke, who wears No. 6. Koke's mother died in the hours before kickoff. His shirt was raised from the bench as the crowd roared.
Chances but no reply
United had their moments. Bryan Mbeumo missed two clear chances in the first half, one of them blocked by goalkeeper Jan Oblak. Captain Bruno Fernandes lifted a shot just wide of the post after the break and later hit the crossbar.
Atlético hit the woodwork too. Álex Grimaldo rattled the bar with a free kick and Julián Alvarez volleyed off the post. A Johnny Cardoso goal was wiped out by a video review for a handball in the buildup.
A red card ends it
The match turned late when defender Leny Yoro went down with Jonathan David as the striker ran through the middle. The referee first let play go on, then went to the monitor and showed Yoro a red card.
A minute later Lookman scored from close range after goalkeeper Senne Lammens saved a shot from David.
It was another tough night for coach Michael Carrick. United are off to their worst start to a season in 40 years.
Around the Champions League
Arsenal beat Lille 3-0 at home. Jurriën Timber, Eberechi Eze and substitute Bukayo Saka all scored in the second half. The players wore black armbands for club life president Ken Friar, who died at 92. Arsenal have now won 12 home matches in a row in the opening stage of the competition.
Barcelona came from a goal down to win 4-1 at Galatasaray.
Bayern Munich were held to a 3-3 draw at Viking in Norway. Harry Kane scored twice as Bayern came back from 2-0 down to lead, but Michael Olise was sent off and Herman Haugen headed in a 90th-minute equalizer.
