Alan Tursunbaev's detailing business did not start with a bay or a brand. He says it started with about $500 and extra money after high school.

A video of someone making about $300 a day convinced him to try. What he thought was a summer job turned into steady customers and a reason to take the work seriously.

He left college to do it full time. Growing meant hiring, chasing five-star reviews and building a week that did not depend on him touching every car.

On Upflip he talks through hiring and reviews more than polish technique. The point of the episode is a route that can run when he is not the only pair of hands.

The $500 start and the day rate that pulled him in are his telling. The business is mobile detailing without a showroom.
