Toronto real estate boss David Morton and his daughters shot during a break-in
Three masked men forced their way into the Toronto mansion of MAC Group CEO David Morton early Thursday and all four family members ended up in the hospital.

A Canadian real estate executive and his two daughters were shot when masked intruders broke into their home in Toronto. His wife was also hurt in the attack.
The violence unfolded early Thursday at the gated mansion of MAC Group CEO David Morton on Hyde Park Circle. The street sits in the Bridle Path, one of the city's richest neighborhoods.
What police say
Three men wearing masks were behind the attack according to reports. Inspector Kristy Smith of the Toronto Police described "a violent interaction" inside.
She added, "There was a demand made for valuables from within the home – whether or not they escaped with anything is uncertain."
All four members of the family were taken to the hospital. Two have what police called "life-altering injuries" while the other two are being treated for "non-life-threatening injuries."
Inside the house
The men are said to have come in through a back door before a struggle broke out. A source claims one daughter took a bullet to the leg and her sister was hit in the arm. Morton was also shot in the leg.
The same source says every member of the family was hit with a hammer. That claim has not been confirmed.
Police say the three suspects got away in an SUV.
