A courtside grandpa nailed LaMelo Ball's three-point celebration and Timberwolves fans cannot get enough
LaMelo Ball dropped 34 in Minnesota's 112-110 win over Milwaukee. The real star online was the older fan behind him who copied his celebration perfectly.

LaMelo Ball has a signature move after he drills a three. He brushes his fingers along the veins on his shooting hand like he is checking that the fire is still there. On Monday night in Minneapolis he got some help from an unexpected backup dancer.
Ball had just knocked down his fourth three of the night against the Milwaukee Bucks. As he went into the celebration the camera caught a gray-haired man sitting courtside right behind him. The fan was doing the exact same thing and with every bit as much energy.
The clip of the two of them in sync spread fast on Tuesday, Nov. 3. People could not get over how serious the older fan looked while he did it.
Three generations of the celly
The comments filled up with love. Fans cheered him on as Pop Pop. One person noted that nothing beats a longtime season ticket holder at a weeknight game because they show up purely out of love for the team. Another said their whole family had picked it up too from the son to the dad to the grandfather.
It is the kind of moment that tells you a new player has won over a city. Ball joined Minnesota over the summer and it did not take long for the locals to adopt his style.
Big night when the team needed it
The celebrations were well earned. Ball poured in 34 points with six rebounds and three assists as the Timberwolves edged the Bucks 112-110. Along the way he also became the fastest player in NBA history to reach 1,000 career threes.
Minnesota is now 5-3 even though star guard Anthony Edwards is expected to be out for about two months. With Ball carrying more of the load the Wolves are holding steady. And they clearly have at least one fan in the front row ready to celebrate every bucket.
