Quavo and Offset could end up testifying in a family dispute over money tied to Takeoff's death.

According to court documents described in reports, Takeoff's mother, Titania Davenport, is fighting the late Migos rapper's father, Kenneth Ball, over how much of a settlement payment he should receive.

Georgia or Texas

Davenport argues the case belongs in Georgia, not Texas, because the important witnesses, including Quavo and Offset, live in the Atlanta and Athens area. She says holding it in Texas would force all of them to travel to Houston.

The settlement

The money comes from a lawsuit Davenport filed against the Houston bowling alley where Takeoff was fatally shot. She says she raised him largely as a single mother, that they were extremely close and that he paid her bills.

Davenport claims Ball was barely involved in Takeoff's childhood and provided little financial or emotional support, but is now trying to claim a large share. Ball had not responded publicly as of Wednesday.

Takeoff was killed on Nov. 1, 2022, at age 28. A man named Patrick Xavier Clark has been charged with murder in his death.
