Saquon Barkley will not be traded before the deadline even as the 2-5 Eagles listen to offers
The 2-5 Eagles have told teams Saquon Barkley is off the table before the Nov. 10 deadline. He is set to play Sunday night against Washington.

Saquon Barkley is staying in Philadelphia. The Eagles will not trade their star running back before the Nov. 10 deadline, sources said Sunday.
The news ends weeks of talk that Barkley could be moved with Philadelphia sitting at 2-5.
General manager Howie Roseman is usually a buyer at the deadline. This year, with Jalen Hurts hurt along with many others, he has been listening to offers for some players to add future draft picks.
Off the table
Barkley is not one of them. The Eagles have told teams they are not considering a deal for him.
The team believes it still has enough talent to compete in 2027 and beyond. Barkley, 29, has two years and just over $35 million left on his contract.
Philadelphia could still add a player if the price is right and he fits the long-term plan.
With Barkley off the market, Indianapolis' Jonathan Taylor is the only top running back who could be had. The Colts are now open to trading him.
Playing through pain
Barkley is set to play Sunday night against the Washington Commanders. He played only 10 snaps in Monday's loss to Dallas because of a back injury.
He missed practice Wednesday and Thursday before a limited session Friday. The back flared up as he compensated for a hamstring injury.
"One day I'm not going to be playing football," Barkley said Friday. "Whenever that is, I don't want to look back and be like, 'I could've gave it a chance and I didn't.'"
This is shaping up to be his first season in Philadelphia without a playoff trip.
