Sal Everett plans to keep running errands for Dana White after landing a UFC deal
Sal Everett won a UFC contract on the Contender Series but says he is not quitting his job as Dana White's runner. He was back at work the next day.

Sal Everett is now a signed UFC fighter. He is also still the guy who keeps Dana White's fridge stocked and he has no plans to give that up.
Still on the clock
By day the 29-year-old is a runner who works for White and the promotion. The job includes handling personal errands for the boss and filling his fridge.
After he earned a contract on Tuesday's Contender Series many fans figured he would soon hand in his notice. Everett says that is not happening. He told an interviewer he worked the day after the fight and the day after that too and that he was on the job as they spoke.
He says he loves the work and was never fighting just to escape it. He calls himself a hard worker who likes being there. "I'm a working man, I'm not lazy," he said.
A quick knockout
Now unbeaten at 5-0, Everett put Ozzy Martin away in Las Vegas roughly midway through round one.
White was thrilled as he handed over the contract. He told Everett the room had rarely been that loud even for title fights. He praised him as a great person who worked his way up from the bottom and welcomed him to the UFC while noting it felt a little odd since Everett already works there.
What comes next
Besides showing up for his Monday shift Everett also talked about when he hopes to get back into the Octagon.
