The Patriots are getting healthier at the right time.

New England (3-2) hosts the New York Jets (2-3) on Sunday at noon Central at Gillette Stadium. The team's final injury report Friday brought good news at cornerback and left a big question at receiver.

Gonzalez is ready

Christian Gonzalez is off the injury report and set to return after missing two games. The top cornerback hurt his shoulder in the Week 3 loss at Jacksonville. He played through it that day but it flared up after the trip home.

"I'm good now. Ready for Sunday," Gonzalez said this week.

New England will still be without starting cornerback Carlton Davis III, who was ruled out with a neck injury. Rookie Karon Prunty (hamstring) is also out.

A Saturday call on Brown

A.J. Brown is listed as questionable with an ankle injury. The receiver suffered a high ankle sprain 30 snaps into his Patriots debut in the season opener against Seattle and has missed four games on injured reserve. He returned to practice Wednesday.

"It felt pretty good. It's one step at a time with me," Brown said. "It's definitely still up in the air."

Coach Mike Vrabel said he wants to see how Brown's conditioning holds up. "We won't make that decision until tomorrow," Vrabel said Friday. The team must activate Brown from injured reserve by 3 p.m. Central on Saturday for him to play. New England also plays Thursday night against Chicago so a short week could factor into the choice.

Henderson surprised himself

Running back TreVeyon Henderson is questionable too. He said an MRI showed a high ankle sprain after he got hurt in last week's blowout of the Raiders. He still practiced on a limited basis all three days this week.

"Honestly, I was surprised," Henderson said. "I felt a little bit different than what they diagnosed it as and what the MRI showed." He added that he feels pretty good and is getting better.

Left tackle Will Campbell (knee) is also questionable after limited practices all week. If he cannot go, rookie Caleb Lomu, who played the final 43 snaps against Las Vegas, would likely start.

The Jets side

New York ruled out running back Breece Hall (quad) again along with receiver Adonai Mitchell (finger) and edge rusher Joseph Ossai (ankle). Braelon Allen is expected to carry the load in the backfield.
