Miami is still perfect, but Florida State made the Hurricanes sweat until the very last snap.

Darian Mensah threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns Saturday night and No. 3 Miami held off its archrival 43-35 in double overtime at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Toney does a little of everything

Malachi Toney caught 11 passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns. The last one was a 3-yard catch from Mensah in the second overtime. Toney then threw the 2-point conversion pass to Cooper Barkate to put Miami up by eight.

Javian Mallory ran for 108 yards and two touchdowns, including one in the first overtime. Mark Fletcher Jr. also ran for a score. Mensah completed 23 of 34 passes.

Florida State keeps coming

Ashton Daniels threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns for the Seminoles. Duce Robinson caught a 75-yard touchdown pass that tied the game with 2:49 left in regulation. He then opened the first overtime with a 20-yard scoring catch.

Florida State thought it had one more answer in the second overtime. Daniels hit a 36-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-21 that would have pulled the Seminoles within two, but a holding penalty wiped it out.

His next throw was a heave into a crowd in the end zone. Bryce Fitzgerald came down with it for an interception. The call held up on review and the Hurricanes stormed the field.

Streaks on both sides

Miami moved to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the ACC. The Hurricanes have won seven of their last 10 games against Florida State.

Mensah had thrown 153 passes at Miami without an interception before Ashlynd Barker picked him off in the end zone in the third quarter with the game tied 14-14.

Florida State fell to 3-4 and 1-3 in the ACC. The Seminoles have now lost 14 straight games away from Tallahassee. They also lost top rusher Ousmane Kromah to a left leg injury late in the first half.
