Megyn Kelly tells Olivia Rodrigo to stay out of the Cornell case after the singer backs Jane Doe
The podcast host blasted the pop star on her show after Rodrigo posted support for the former Cornell student suing seven fraternity members.

Megyn Kelly went after Olivia Rodrigo on her show this week, telling the Grammy winner to stick to music after Rodrigo publicly sided with the woman at the center of the Cornell University lawsuit.
Rodrigo had posted a message condemning institutions that protect abusers and declaring that she stands with Jane Doe, the former student who filed a civil suit alleging that seven members of the Chi Phi fraternity drugged her with ketamine and sexually assaulted her in 2024. The men have denied the allegations. Rodrigo also shared posts about a Columbia University student's allegations.
Kelly's response
On "The Megyn Kelly Show," Kelly said she preferred Rodrigo singing, mocked her songs as gloomy and told her she did not understand the case. Kelly also warned that she might start picking apart Rodrigo's lyrics and the messages they send to young women if the singer kept speaking out.
Kelly has previously argued on her program that the accused fraternity members have been treated unfairly by the media.
Where things stand
Rodrigo's representatives had not responded publicly to Kelly's remarks as of Wednesday, according to reports. The Cornell case has drawn wide attention since the lawsuit was filed and New York's attorney general is now leading a renewed criminal investigation.
