Manuel Otto was only 14 when he built Stick Run, a multiplayer game that went on to draw a big following. The German streamer and influencer has now died at the age of 30.

His death followed an incident during a livestream on Twitch.

A statement from Stick Run

A spokesperson for the game addressed the stream in a statement, saying Otto "appeared to have taken his own life."

The Stick Run team asked that everyone affected be given privacy. They also urged fans not to pass along rumors that have not been confirmed.

Officials have not shared further details about his death.

Twitch removes the stream

Twitch has taken down both Otto's channel and the livestream. A company spokesperson said the platform "moved quickly" so the video could not be watched by others.

"What took place is horrible," the spokesperson said, adding that "the mental health and wellbeing of our community matters deeply to us." Twitch did not share further details about the stream.
