Lamar Jackson is trending in the right direction. Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said Monday that his quarterback's sprained left ankle is improving. He stopped short of saying Jackson will play Sunday in Cleveland.

Wait until Wednesday

"He's definitely doing better," Minter said. He added that he was not sure what Wednesday's practice would look like for Jackson and that the team should know more by the middle of the week.

Minter also gave Jackson credit for doing everything he can to get back on the field.

Jackson was hurt on the final offensive snap of the first half of the Oct. 4 win over the Tennessee Titans. He did not practice at all last week and sat out Sunday night's game in Atlanta.

Huntley keeps winning

Tyler Huntley has kept Baltimore rolling. He threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns against the Falcons and then ran in the winner from a yard out in overtime of a 30-23 victory. The Ravens are 4-1 and Huntley would start again if Jackson is not cleared.

Help could be on the way

Minter said pass rusher Trey Hendrickson and rookie receiver Ja'Kobi Lane both have a real chance to play against the Browns. Hendrickson has missed two games with a finger injury. Lane is eligible to come off injured reserve after hurting his wrist in Week 1.

New center Cam Jurgens is in the final stages of the concussion protocol and could make his Ravens debut. Baltimore visits Cleveland on Sunday at noon Central.
