Man charged after flashing a butcher knife at a 'Miami Vice '85' crew in Brooklyn
Police say Alex Perez, 23, ran through the Brooklyn shoot of Michael B. Jordan's 'Miami Vice '85' and pulled a butcher knife on a staffer before his arrest.

A late-night shoot for Michael B. Jordan's new crime movie turned tense on Friday when police say a stranger walked onto the set carrying a butcher knife.
New York police identified the man as Alex Perez, 23. Officers say he began dashing across the "Miami Vice '85" set in Brooklyn at about 11 PM and interrupted filming.
The confrontation
Police were called once Perez allegedly waved the large blade and threatened a member of the production team. Footage from the scene shows a staffer walking him away from the set just before he pulls the knife from the pocket of his sweatshirt.
An officer already on site took Perez into custody at 11:17 PM. According to reports he shouted a racial slur at the production worker while he was handcuffed.
The charges
Police say Perez has five earlier arrests. Those past cases reportedly involve burglary, alleged gang-related crimes and an armed assault.
This time he faces a second-degree menacing charge with a weapon. He is also charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
No one on the production was reported hurt.
