"Celebrity Rehab" alum Kari Ann Peniche lost her Troutdale, Oregon home after an e-bike battery exploded late Thursday night.

Her son smelled something odd while sitting in the living room. She first guessed a skunk might have sprayed the family cat. He then pointed at his e-bike battery near the door — it was not charging — which had begun to smoke.

She pulled out her phone to record the smoke. Seconds later the pack detonated and fire raced through the house.

Everyone got out

Kari Ann escaped with her kids, her boyfriend, her caretaker and the caretaker's wife. The family cat and three dogs also made it out alive.

She said the five-bedroom place was completely charred. She lost art, pageant gowns and magazines featuring her.
