Jonathan Taylor says no one wants the uncertainty as the Colts trade deadline nears
Jonathan Taylor said Thursday he wants the Colts trade talk settled before Tuesday's deadline and he still plans to play Sunday against Dallas.

Jonathan Taylor wants the trade talk to end one way or another.
The Colts running back said Thursday in Indianapolis that he is as ready for a decision as everyone else watching the clock. "No one wants uncertainty," Taylor said. "Until the past couple weeks, it's kind of been the same thing. But it won't be until Tuesday at 4 p.m. where you'll know exactly what's going on, you'll know exactly what the verdict is."
That 4 p.m. Eastern mark is 3 p.m. Central, Tuesday's NFL trade deadline. Taylor is the subject of talks between Indianapolis and more than one club.
The teardown around him
The Colts are 2-6. General manager Chris Ballard was fired last month. Guard Quenton Nelson and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner were traded a week later. Taylor, receiver Josh Downs and others have drawn interest while Indianapolis looks to stockpile draft picks.
Taylor is 27. He is the franchise's career leader in rushing touchdowns and ranks second in rushing yards behind Edgerrin James.
He still plans to play Sunday
The next game is Sunday at home against the Dallas Cowboys. Coach Shane Steichen said Taylor will play despite the talks. Taylor said he will play too.
Indianapolis lost 42-7 at Jacksonville last week. Taylor carried eight times for 23 yards and sat out the fourth quarter with the game out of reach.
"You can't avoid it," Taylor said of the speculation. "Internet, all of that stuff. You can't avoid it. But it's more about trying to block that out." He said he does not want outside noise changing how he plays. "You don't want external factors creeping in and trying to alter your play."
Sunday could be his last game in a Colts uniform. He said he will still play to win.
