Jets say there's "no way" they trade Garrett Wilson before the deadline
A source told ESPN the Jets will not trade Garrett Wilson before the Nov. 10 deadline. The receiver signed a $130 million extension 15 months ago.

Trade talk is heating up around the NFL, but one name is off the table. A well-placed source told ESPN there is "no way" the New York Jets trade wide receiver Garrett Wilson before the Nov. 10 deadline.
Jets fans have heard that before. A year ago the team was said to feel the same about cornerback Sauce Gardner and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams. Both were traded on deadline day for a haul of draft picks.
Sources say this time is different. The 26-year-old is seen as one of the most talented receivers in the league. The Jets signed him to a four-year, $130 million extension through 2030 just 15 months ago.
Ownership wants him to stay
Jets ownership is said to love Wilson and wants no part of trading him. The team already holds the Colts' 2027 first-round pick and the higher of Dallas' or Green Bay's 2027 first from the Gardner and Williams deals.
The plan is to build around Wilson as the Jets restock the roster and get stronger on offense in the 2027 draft. At some point the team needs to start using picks instead of piling them up.
Wilson wants to win here
Wilson recently said he does not want to be traded. "I want to be here, man," he said. "I love it here. Do I love it more than I love winning? Nah, to be completely honest, but I'm hopeful."
Other receivers keep popping up in deadline rumors. That list includes Jacksonville's Brian Thomas Jr., Indianapolis' Josh Downs and Cleveland's Jerry Jeudy. Tennessee also told teams it would never deal Jeffery Simmons before sending him to Chicago on Thursday. The Jets insist Wilson will not follow that path.
