Jasmine Crockett calls out Nicki Minaj for using her huge platform to boost MAGA
Rep. Jasmine Crockett says Nicki Minaj is self-serving for backing MAGA as a non-citizen while immigrants are being detained by ICE under President Trump.
Jasmine Crockett is not impressed with the way Nicki Minaj has been using her star power.
The Texas congresswoman was stopped Tuesday in New York City and did not hold back when asked about the rapper's politics.
Crockett pointed to what she sees as a glaring double standard. Nicki is not a U.S. citizen, yet she has become a loud voice for MAGA at a time when many other immigrants are being held by ICE under President Donald Trump.
Out for herself
In the video Crockett wastes no time going after Nicki. She accuses the star of thinking only about herself while spreading hate and division.
Crockett made it clear she does not share Nicki's political views. Still she urged people to speak up in ways that unite rather than divide.
A hopeful message
She also said Muslim and Jewish communities should stand together in Michigan and across the country.
Despite the clash with Nicki she shared why she feels optimistic about where the nation is headed.
