Ja Morant will miss at least four weeks with a hamstring strain he suffered against his old team
The Portland Trail Blazers said Ja Morant has a Grade 2 left hamstring strain from Thursday's game at Memphis. He will be reevaluated in four weeks.

Ja Morant's return to Memphis ended with bad news. The Portland Trail Blazers said Friday that the guard has a Grade 2 strain of his left hamstring. He will be out at least four weeks before he is reevaluated.
Morant got hurt Thursday night in his first game against the Memphis Grizzlies, the team he played for during his first seven NBA seasons. He left in the fourth quarter and did not come back.
Coach Micah Nori said after the game that Morant felt a twinge in the hamstring before he left. The team first listed him as day-to-day before Friday's update.
A good start cut short
Morant was settling in with his new team. He averaged 15.8 points and 5.5 assists over his first four games with Portland.
The Blazers won their first three games of the season before Thursday's loss in Memphis. They will now have to find a way without one of their main ball handlers for at least the next month.
