Surviving Idaho roommate Dylan Mortensen says threats and harassment have shadowed her for nearly four years
Dylan Mortensen, who survived the 2022 University of Idaho killings, says she has faced threats for nearly four years. She wants her face hidden in new records.

Dylan Mortensen, one of the roommates who lived through the 2022 University of Idaho killings, says the horror did not end that night.
Mortensen came face to face with Bryan Kohberger inside the house in November 2022. A fresh filing in court lays out what she describes as close to four years of threats and harassment, along with wild conspiracy theories.
According to the filing, the abuse has changed the way she deals with other people. It has also shaped where she feels safe and how much she is willing to share.
Her request to the judge
Mortensen is asking the court to make sure her face stays hidden in case records that were once sealed and are now due to be made public.
Blame she did not deserve
Some people online attacked her for not dialing 911 right after the attack. Kaylee Goncalves' father has said that calling sooner would not have saved any of the four students.
Where the case stands
Kohberger admitted to murdering Ethan Chapin, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle and Madison Mogen. In July 2025 he was handed four life sentences to be served back to back.
He has since filed a petition asking to throw out his guilty pleas.
