Eric Bauza, who voiced Bugs and Daffy for a new generation, has died at 46
Emmy-winning voice actor Eric Bauza died suddenly at home a day after smiling with fans at an animation expo. The cause was heart disease.

Eric Bauza, the voice actor who gave today's Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck their voices, has died. He was 46.
His family shared the news Sunday on his Instagram page. They said he "passed away suddenly" and remembered him as the modern voice of the two Looney Tunes icons along with dozens of other cartoon favorites.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner says Bauza died at home on Sunday from hypertensive cardiovascular disease. That is a heart condition connected to high blood pressure. His death was ruled natural. The report also cited sleep apnea plus class 2 obesity as significant factors.
Smiling with fans one day earlier
Just a day before, Bauza was at LightBox Expo in Pasadena, California. Photos from the animation event show him grinning as he posed with attendees.
He also posted a snapshot from the expo to his own Instagram on Saturday. In it he stands beside artist David Silverman, who goes by Silverootie, with the caption "Hangin' w/ @silverootie at @lightboxexpo."
That post became one of his last. One fan who met him there wrote that they could not believe the news after seeing him "yesterday."
The voice of a whole cast
Bauza voiced far more than Bugs and Daffy. Fans also heard him as Porky Pig and Tweety Bird. Road Runner, Marvin the Martian and Elmer Fudd were part of his roster as well.
His work reached well past Warner Bros. too. He was heard on "Teen Titans Go!" and "Muppet Babies" as well as "The Adventures of Puss in Boots" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".
The Canadian native piled up over 400 credits in all. His voice work earned him a trio of Children's & Family Emmys.
