Ella Langley turns up the heat on 'Jolene' at Nashville salute to Dolly Parton
Ella Langley gave Dolly Parton's 1974 classic "Jolene" a smoldering treatment at a star-packed CMA celebration of the late legend in Nashville.

Ella Langley paid homage to Dolly Parton by taking on one of the late icon's most famous songs.
The country singer performed "Jolene" Wednesday night in Nashville during "CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton." Her take on the 1974 hit was slow and sultry.
Katy Perry introduced Langley and used the moment to call Dolly "the blueprint" for generation after generation of performers.
Staying true to the original
Langley did not stray far from the way Dolly recorded it. She let her big voice carry the song while a crowd full of famous faces cheered on the legend's music.
Not her first tribute
This was not the first time Langley has honored Dolly with the song. After Dolly died in August, Langley sang "Jolene" at a show in Alabama, her home state.
A star-studded night
The televised celebration also featured Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood and Lainey Wilson among many other big names.
The evening was devoted to Dolly's songs and the mark she left on music. Langley made sure "Jolene" got its spotlight.
