Elijah Smith knocks out Davey Grant in 60 seconds at UFC Vegas 124
Elijah Smith stopped Davey Grant with punches at the 1:00 mark of Round 1 at UFC Vegas 124 and improved to 4-0 inside the Octagon.

Elijah Smith did not need a second minute. He left Las Vegas as a free agent with a highlight that will be hard to ignore.
Smith knocked out Davey Grant at the 1:00 mark of the first round in a bantamweight bout at UFC Vegas 124 on Saturday night at Meta APEX.
The win improved Smith to 4-0 in the UFC. He said afterward that he is out of contract and looking to strike a new deal.
A left hook ends it
The two exchanged punches in the opening seconds and Grant landed a solid shot. Smith fired back harder. A left hook put Grant on the canvas and a follow-up punch finished the fight.
"I knew I could do it" Smith said after the stoppage. He called Grant a crafty veteran and said he had to stay sharp and believe in himself.
The 24-year-old then turned to UFC officials Sean Shelby and Hunter Campbell. He said free agency had been the talk all fight week and asked them to talk to him about a new contract.
