Delorean Bijon Brandon, now accused of killing Christina Downer, first landed in Los Angeles courtrooms over twenty years ago.

Downer was the sister of "Saturday Night Live" writer Jimmy Fowlie. Court documents show Brandon faced a string of misdemeanor cases in the city from 2004 to 2006.

His record starts with a grand theft charge in 2004. He was later put on probation. A judge later ordered 240 hours of community service plus a fine in May 2005.

Probation trouble

That probation did not hold. Records show it was revoked. Court proceedings in 2007 ended with him being sent back to jail.

In a different case from 2006, Brandon was accused of unauthorized entry into a home. He also faced a charge of having drug paraphernalia. Both counts were misdemeanors.

That case brought several hearings over alleged probation violations. Records say he was remanded in March 2007 and again in October 2007.

The murder case

Police took Brandon into custody last week over Downer's death. She disappeared in Los Angeles last year.

The charges against him now include murder plus two felony spousal injury counts. They allege he killed her on or around September 19, 2025. Her body has never been found.

A woman named Kaylee Markowski is charged as an accessory after the fact. Authorities say she helped Brandon get rid of Downer's body. Bail for each of them is set at $2 million.

Downer was reported missing in December 2025 when her ex-husband asked police to check on her. Brandon allegedly told officers she had left their Koreatown apartment months before. He said she left her belongings, her car and her dog behind.

Her phone later turned up on the shore in Santa Monica. Homicide detectives then took over the case.
