Brewers beat Padres to reach a second straight NLCS and end a long road skid
Milwaukee won Game 4 3-1 in San Diego to take the division series 3-1, snapping a 12-game postseason road losing streak.

The Milwaukee Brewers are playing for the pennant again. They beat the San Diego Padres 3-1 in Game 4 on Wednesday to win the division series three games to one.
Breaking a road curse
Milwaukee had lost 12 straight postseason games on the road, which tied the longest such streak in MLB history. The Game 4 win in San Diego ended it.
How the series went
The Brewers won the first two games at home, 3-2 and 4-3. William Contreras hit a go-ahead homer in the seventh inning of Game 1. Jackson Chourio's homer that night was his fifth career postseason home run, a franchise record. San Diego won Game 3 4-3 before Milwaukee closed it out.
Ready for the Dodgers
Milwaukee won a franchise-record 103 games in the regular season. Finishing in four games lined up ace Jacob Misiorowski to start the NLCS opener against the Dodgers, who also beat Milwaukee in last year's NLCS. The Brewers are still chasing their first World Series title.
