Zak Bagans adds a lock of Christa Pike's hair and a jailhouse letter to his Las Vegas museum
The Ghost Adventures host is showing a prison letter Christa Pike sent a pen pal plus a lock of her hair inside a real jail cell at his Haunted Museum.

Ghost Adventures host Zak Bagans has added a grim new exhibit to his Las Vegas attraction: a letter convicted killer Christa Pike mailed to a pen pal from prison along with a lock of her hair.
Behind real bars
Bagans says the items went on view Sunday at his Haunted Museum. They sit inside an actual jail cell fitted with bars salvaged from a prison that has since closed.
"That is the only place that I feel is appropriate to display items like this," he said.
What the letter shows
According to Bagans, Pike wrote the letter years after she killed Colleen Slemmer in 1995. It appears to show her flirting with a man who had been writing to her.
He says Pike mailed the admirer some of her hair as a birthday gift and in the letter ordered him to drop to his knees and thank her.
Bagans believes he bought both items from a murderabilia dealer back in 2019 but held off on showing them until this week. He says the exhibit exists only to document how Pike really communicated after her conviction.
Why now
The display arrives weeks after Pike survived two lethal injections during her failed execution last month. She was recently discharged from the hospital and sent back to prison.
