Alex Volkanovski wants Islam Makhachev on his cooking show for a horseback hunt in Dagestan
The UFC featherweight champ says he and his two-time rival have already talked about hunting on horseback in Dagestan and cooking the catch over a wood fire.

Alex Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev could be sharing the spotlight again. This time a grill would replace the Octagon.
Picking a guest
Volkanovski was in Abu Dhabi getting ready to put his belt on the line against Movsar Evloev in the UFC 333 headliner. He was asked who he would most like to bring onto his YouTube cooking show.
He passed on celebrity chefs. His choice was a man he knows from the cage.
Volkanovski said the pair have already discussed a trip into the mountains of Dagestan. The idea is to hunt on horseback and then cook whatever they bring back over an open wood fire.
He sounded sure it will come together. "I'm telling you, it's gonna happen," he said.
More rivals on the menu
The featherweight champ also wants a whole series of videos with fighters he has faced. He said an episode with Ilia Topuria is already being planned.
His channel is a big success. Cooking With Volk has passed 62 million views in roughly a year.
Their history
Volkanovski and Makhachev met twice in 2023. Volkanovski moved up a weight class for the first fight and lost a very close decision. Makhachev knocked him out in the rematch.
Volkanovski is trying acting too. He shows up among the many famous faces in the new Street Fighter film, which came out recently.
First he has a fight to handle. He takes on the unbeaten Evloev on Saturday, Oct. 24, at UFC 333.
