UFC 333 is set as Alexander Volkanovski and unbeaten Movsar Evloev make weight in Abu Dhabi
The 38-year-old featherweight champ faces the 20-0 challenger Saturday at Etihad Arena while Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili meet a third time.

UFC 333 is officially set. Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski weighed in at 144.5 pounds and unbeaten challenger Movsar Evloev came in at 145 on Friday in Abu Dhabi, locking in Saturday's title fight at Etihad Arena.
The co-main event is set as well. Bantamweight champion Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili both made 135 pounds for their trilogy fight. Dvalishvili won their first meeting in March 2023. Yan evened the score in December 2025.
The main card starts at 1 p.m. Central on Paramount+. The prelims begin at 11 a.m. Central, with the early prelims at 9 a.m. Central.
A tough test at 38
Volkanovski is 38 and facing a fighter who has never lost. Evloev is 20-0, including 10-0 in the UFC. Every one of his UFC wins has gone to the judges.
The champion said he has kept his training as sharp as ever while managing how much he does. "We need that intensity because that intensity needs to be the same that it was five years ago, but maybe not the volume," Volkanovski said.
He also made it clear he is not worried about Evloev's wrestling. "You can try and take me down all day," he said.
Evloev's moment
Evloev believes he can do something no one else has. "I truly believe that nobody of his opponents give him the pressure I'm gonna bring this Saturday," he said.
One miss on the scale
The only fighter who missed weight was Nicolle Caliari, who came in at 120.5 pounds, 4.5 over the limit. Her fight with Iasmin Lucindo goes ahead at a catchweight while Caliari forfeits 30% of her purse. The other 27 fighters on the card made weight.
Aaron Pico faces Losene Keita on the main card while former title challenger Dominick Reyes fights on the prelims.
