The NBA went south of the border and the Nuggets put on the show.

Nikola Jokic scored 19 points with 13 rebounds and eight assists as the Denver Nuggets beat the Indiana Pacers 114-102 on Saturday at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.

Jokic had 10 of his points in the first quarter. Cameron Johnson added 18 points and Jamal Murray scored 16 as Denver won for the fourth time in five games.

A big second quarter

Indiana went four minutes without a basket in the second quarter and Denver made it hurt with a 15-0 run. Murray's jumper pushed the lead to 64-37 with less than a minute left in the half.

The Pacers made a push after the break. Aaron Nesmith hit back-to-back 3-pointers to cut it to 79-67 and Jarace Walker's 3 brought Indiana within 102-95 with 7:26 to play. The Nuggets answered with six straight points to put it away.

Pacers still searching

Pascal Siakam led Indiana with 23 points and Larry Nance Jr. scored 15 off the bench. The Pacers were the designated home team and played without All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton, who missed the trip with a hamstring strain.

Indiana has lost five of its last six games. It was the 35th NBA game ever played in Mexico.

Denver plays at Houston on Monday night. Indiana visits Dallas the same night.
