Nikola Jokic records his 200th triple-double as the Nuggets beat the Pelicans 104-91
Nikola Jokic had 21 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists against New Orleans to become the second player in NBA history with 200 career triple-doubles.

Nikola Jokic joined one of the most exclusive clubs in basketball on Wednesday night. The Denver Nuggets center finished with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in a 104-91 win over the New Orleans Pelicans for the 200th triple-double of his career.
Only one other player has reached that number. Russell Westbrook, who retired after last season, holds the record. Jokic needs 10 more to pass him.
The pace is what stands out. Jokic got to 200 in his 814th game. Westbrook needed 1,175 games to get there.
A familiar opponent
The Pelicans have seen this before. Sixteen of Jokic's triple-doubles have now come against New Orleans.
Denver jumped out to a 37-18 lead and led by as many as 22. Jamal Murray scored 23 points while Aaron Gordon added 15 points and 11 rebounds.
A short bench gets it done
The Nuggets used just nine players. Cam Johnson and Alpha Diallo were both out, which put more of the load on the starters. Jokic carried it the way he usually does by scoring when needed and setting up teammates the rest of the time.
Zion Williamson led New Orleans with 25 points. The Pelicans are now 0-4 under new coach Jamahl Mosley.
The chase for the record
At his current rate Jokic could pass Westbrook well before the end of the season. He would do it in hundreds fewer games.
