Kevin Gates shrugs off the million dollar payout to Dreka Gates
Kevin Gates says losing a chunk of his catalogue money to Dreka Gates means nothing to him because he always gives the people he loves the world.

Kevin Gates is not losing any sleep over the huge check he had to hand his estranged wife.
The rapper sat down for a podcast interview and was asked about a judge's order that forced him to share money from the sale of his music catalogue with Dreka Gates. The amount came to roughly $1 million, according to reports.
Giving is just who he is
Gates said a slice of his money is nothing to him. He explained that he is used to giving the people he loves everything they could want. He hinted that Dreka got the same treatment.
When pressed on whether the ruling made him angry, he said he is not mad about anything at all. He then shifted into talking about how cosmic forces guide the relationships that are meant to last.
Keeping his love life quiet
Fans online have been guessing about who he might be dating now. Gates touched on that chatter briefly but made it clear he would rather not share his private life with the public.
The numbers behind the order
The judge's ruling was a big one. Gates was told to pay Dreka $929,341.50 to cover child and spousal support. He also owes her another $150,000 directly.
On top of that, $125,000 goes to her lawyers for their fees. Her accountant is set to receive $100,000 while a mediation service will collect $103,000.
A messy breakup
His calm attitude is a change of pace from how heated the split has been. Gates has accused Dreka of taking money from him several times while they were together. Her attorney has strongly denied that claim.
For now, the rapper seems ready to move forward with a lighter bank account and no grudges.
