Jesper Bratt needed a breakaway to clean up a messy third period.

The New Jersey Devils forward scored 1:26 into overtime off a Dougie Hamilton feed to beat the St. Louis Blues 5-4 on Thursday at Prudential Center.

Anthony Mantha scored twice. New Jersey improved to 11-5-0 and has won three straight.

Three goals in 3:08

St. Louis erased a 4-1 deficit with three goals against Connor Hellebuyck in a 3:08 span late in the third. Mason McTavish, Philip Broberg and Dalibor Dvorsky pulled the Blues even at 4-4.

Dvorsky's tip came 18 seconds after Broberg's goal when Connor McMichael stole a Hellebuyck outlet. "I'll just call it a mistake," Hellebuyck said.

Still two points

Luke Hughes opened the scoring. Jesper Boqvist and Mantha buried quick goals 19 seconds apart late in the second for a 4-1 cushion before the collapse.

Hellebuyck made 28 saves and is 4-0-0 since the trade from Winnipeg. Jordan Binnington stopped 31 shots for St. Louis (7-7-2).
