Guardians host the Rays in ALCS Game 3 at Progressive Field with the series tied
With the ALCS tied 1-1 the Guardians bring the Rays to Progressive Field for Game 3 as Gavin Williams is expected to start for Cleveland.

The American League Championship Series shifts to Cleveland.
After the Tampa Bay Rays evened the series with a 3-1 win in Game 2 the Guardians host Game 3 on Thursday at Progressive Field. First pitch is set for 5 p.m. Central.
How they got here
Cleveland took Game 1 at Tropicana Field 7-3 behind a late rally that included a Chase DeLauter homer. Tampa Bay answered in Game 2 when Freddy Peralta threw six scoreless innings and the Rays scored three unearned runs in the fourth.
The best-of-seven series is tied 1-1 heading into the first of up to three games in Cleveland.
Pitching plans
Gavin Williams is expected to start for the Guardians. Tampa Bay had not locked in a Game 3 starter in early reports with Nick Martinez among the leading options after his AL Division Series work.
Cleveland's home crowd will see its first Championship Series game of the year after the Guardians forced the series north with the split in St. Petersburg.
Series outlook
Game 4 is Friday in Cleveland and a potential Game 5 is Saturday before the series would return to Tampa Bay if needed. Both clubs have leaned on bullpens in October and every inning at Progressive Field will be closely managed.
