Indianapolis has a win again. The Colts edged Houston 19-17 on Sunday and put an end to nine straight losses, which had been the longest drought of any team in the league.

A sore leg and a steady foot

Spencer Shrader was nursing a groin problem all afternoon and still went four for four on field goals. His final kick sailed through from 43 yards out with just 16 seconds on the clock.

C.J. Stroud had 167 passing yards and one touchdown pass for the Texans.

Ending the drought

Indianapolis had not won since early November of last season. Its last victory at a stadium in the United States came back in late October 2025. The Colts are now 1-2.
