The Indianapolis Colts started slowly in London on Sunday but pulled away for a 30-13 win over a battered Washington Commanders team.

A rough week for Washington

The Commanders were already without quarterback Jayden Daniels and running back Rachaad White. Receiver Terry McLaurin was a surprise inactive after hurting a hamstring in practice.

Less than a quarter into the game, backup quarterback Marcus Mariota aggravated a knee injury on a sack. Seventh-round rookie Athan Kaliakmanis took over.

Boom or bust

Kaliakmanis showed nerve. He threw a 47-yard touchdown pass to Treylon Burks and later hit Dyami Brown for 48 yards. He also threw a costly interception that set up a Colts touchdown. Outside of those two big plays he was 13 of 31 for 91 yards.

Indianapolis took over after halftime. Four of the Colts' five second-half drives ended in points as they improved to 2-2.
