Former housekeeper asks a judge to order Chris Brown's arrest as she chases a $9 million dog bite award
Maria Avila says Chris Brown keeps dodging dates to bring his bank records to court so she can collect her $9 million dog bite judgment.

Chris Brown's former housekeeper Maria Avila is asking a court to issue a warrant for the singer's arrest. In her view the singer is standing between her and the payout a jury granted.
Missing dates for a financial exam
Avila prevailed at trial over a 2020 attack by a dog at the singer's L.A. estate. According to court documents, she now wants the warrant because Brown has not committed to dates for a hearing on his finances.
She says he has refused to offer any days when he could appear in court with his bank records. That exam would help her figure out where she can find the money to cover what she is owed.
Questions about tour income
Avila also argues the records Brown did provide fall short. In her filing she says the gaps raise doubts about whether he has been fully honest about money coming in from his current tour.
The original verdict
A jury first awarded Avila $13 million. The judge later cut that amount to $9 million and she agreed to the lower figure.
Avila has said a dog attacked her on the property while she was carrying the trash outside.
