The Bears plan to start Caleb Williams against the Falcons after three games out with a torn hamstring
Caleb Williams finished a full week of practice with no setbacks and the Bears plan to start him Sunday in Atlanta after a torn hamstring cost him three games.

Caleb Williams is set to be back under center for Chicago.
The Bears plan to start their star quarterback on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, according to people familiar with the decision. Williams has missed the past three games with a torn hamstring. He went through a full week of practice without a setback.
On track
Williams has not played since a Sept. 20 game against the Minnesota Vikings. He entered the week believing he could return as long as his leg held up. Once he finished the week as a full participant, the decision was all but made.
Coach Ben Johnson said late Friday that Williams was "on track." The team officially lists him as questionable for the trip to Atlanta.
Williams took the starter's reps in practice. After a walk-through on Wednesday he looked like himself in workouts on Thursday and Friday.
A message on social media
Williams also reposted a video on TikTok celebrating his return. It included clips of the criticism he took when he left the field on a cart in Week 2. It also featured a scene from the TV show "The Bear" in which chef Carmy Berzatto says the moment flipped a switch in him.
The Bears held on without him
Chicago went 2-1 in the three games Williams missed even with several starters out. Case Keenum started a dramatic Week 3 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Backup Tyson Bagent went 1-1 in his two starts.
Now the Bears get their franchise quarterback back for a road test in Atlanta.
