Austin Reaves scores 28 and Walker Kessler adds 22 with six blocks as the Lakers beat the Clippers 125-117
The Lakers improved to 2-0 despite a career-high 11 turnovers from Luka Doncic while the Clippers committed 26 turnovers in the Los Angeles rivalry game.

Austin Reaves had 28 points and nine assists and Walker Kessler added 22 points and six blocks as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Los Angeles Clippers 125-117 on Friday night.
The Lakers are 2-0 for the season. It was also their ninth win in the last 13 meetings with their crosstown rivals.
Reaves made 10 of his 13 shots. The Lakers built a big second-half lead that shrank to six late before Reaves and Kessler made the key plays down the stretch.
Kessler stays hot
Kessler missed a layup on the opening possession, his first miss as a Laker after a perfect 12-for-12 debut against Golden State. He then made his next eight shots and finished 10 of 14 with eight rebounds.
The 7-foot-2 center has scored at least 20 points in back-to-back games for the first time in his five NBA seasons.
A rough night for Doncic
Luka Doncic scored 23 points but committed a career-high 11 turnovers on a tough night for last season's scoring champion. The Lakers still had six players score 13 or more, including 14 from newcomer Ziaire Williams.
Clippers hurt by turnovers
Darius Garland led the Clippers with 26 points and six assists. Brook Lopez, their 38-year-old backup center, scored 22 points, 15 of them in the first half.
Rui Hachimura had 16 points and six rebounds against the team he played for over the previous three and a half seasons. The Clippers turned the ball over 26 times, too many to overcome after a rout of Sacramento in their opener.
Up next
Both teams play Sunday. The Lakers visit the Utah Jazz and the Clippers visit the Oklahoma City Thunder.
