Angel Reese says the Dream will be back after falling one win short of the WNBA title
Angel Reese called this Dream team the most fun group she has played with and promised Atlanta will be back after a 68-63 Game 7 loss to the Valkyries.

The Atlanta Dream came up one win short of a WNBA title. Angel Reese is not hanging her head.
"This is the most fun I've had with a group. It's the most competitive team I've been part of," Reese said after Saturday's 68-63 Game 7 loss to the Golden State Valkyries in San Francisco. "And just because we didn't win today doesn't mean that we won't be champions in the future."
Reese has called her third season the most enjoyable of her career. She was traded from the Chicago Sky to Atlanta in April and reached the playoffs for the first time.
A tough night to end it
Game 7 was not Reese's best. She scored eight points on 3-of-7 shooting. Rhyne Howard went 3-for-14 and missed all seven of her 3-point tries. Allisha Gray added 16 points.
Point guard Jordin Canada led Atlanta with 18 points and five assists. Golden State's Gabby Williams poured in 30.
The Dream averaged 91.3 points a game in the regular season. In all four Finals losses they were held under 65.
"There really were just too many empty possessions," coach Karl Smesko said.
Plenty to build on
The good news for Atlanta is that every starter is signed for next season. Reese said she is looking forward to another offseason working under Smesko.
The Dream will also play all of their home games at State Farm Arena next year after holding every playoff game there this season.
"I'm really proud of the year that I had," Reese said. She said Atlanta's fans "poured into us so much this year" and promised them one thing: "We'll be back."
